Connie Barrow is the President and Founder of Fertile Possibilities LLC, a life coaching company based in Stafford, Virginia, that specializes in fertility, creativity, and life transformations. Ms. Barrow coaches a select group of clients who are currently undergoing fertility treatments, trying to conceive after pregnancy loss, or have failed fertility treatments and are looking at their family-building options. Ms. Barrow also works with women and men who desire radical changes in their lives—career, lifestyle, relationships, etc.—to go for their dreams. Her coaching practice is boutique in nature, intentionally limited to no more than a dozen clients in order to give exceptional personal attention to each one. In addition to coaching individuals, Ms. Barrow conducts free group tele-coaching sessions on such topics as “Supporting the Mind/Body/Spirit for Fertility” and “Giving Yourself Permission to Live the Life You Really Want”.
Ms. Barrow received her life coach training with the Coaches Training Institute, the largest in-person coach training school in the world and the first coach training school accredited by the International Coach Federation. She is also a professional member of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. Her traditional education includes a B.A. in Sociology from Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana, and a Masters in Public Administration from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Bloomington, Indiana. From 1991 to 2004, in Ms. Barrow’s previous life, she was a Senior Health Care Policy Analyst with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), conducting research for the U.S. Congress, including the Senate Special Committee on Aging, the Subcommittee on Health of the House Committee on Ways and Means, and the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
Ms. Barrow’s calling to work with women facing fertility issues grows out of her own personal experience. For five years, she dealt with multiple miscarriages and fertility treatments and received a prognosis of less than 5% chance that she and her husband would have a child without an egg donor or through adoption. In August 2004, Ms. Barrow quit her federal government job and made radical changes in her life to lessen her stress and increase her joy. In January 2006, Ms. Barrow and her husband welcomed their daughter into the world when she was 43 years old. She is currently writing a book about the lessons learned on her fertility journey. |
